7 Facets of Healing

Healing is an essential part of life. The goal of healing is to bring your body, mind, and soul back into harmony. To do this, we must give attention to all the facets of our being. Here we will dive into the seven facets of healing: Nutrition, Sleep, Stress, Movement, Relationships, Mindset, and Spirituality.


Nutrition: Eating a balanced meal that is rich in whole organic foods is essential for overall health. Eating a variety of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, legumes, nuts, and seeds will provide the body with the necessary vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients to help fight off disease. Avoiding processed and sugary foods will help reduce inflammation and keep disease at bay. Sleep: Adequate sleep is vital for healing. Not getting enough sleep can lead to increased stress and inflammation in the body. Aim to get 7-8 hours of quality sleep each night to ensure that your body is functioning optimally. Keeping a consistent sleeping schedule is also key. Waking up and going to sleep at the same times every morning and night will ensure a beautiful circadian rhythm.


Stress: Stress can have a major impact on our health. Managing stress through activities like prayer, meditation, or journaling can help reduce inflammation and promote healing. There are many breathing techniques that can be utilized to help bring balance back to the breath.


Movement: Exercise is key for healing. It helps to boost circulation, improve mood, and reduce stress. Aim to get at least 15-30 minutes of physical activity each day. This could include walking, HIIT exercises, strength training, kayaking, etc.


Relationships: Having positive relationships with others is essential for healing. Social connections can help reduce stress, improve mental health, and foster emotional wellbeing.


Mindset: Having a positive and optimistic mindset can help you to heal. Focusing on the good in life, practicing gratitude, and making time for self-care can help you to stay positive and foster healing.


Spirituality: Connecting with a higher power can help you to find peace and balance in life.
